Srushti began to prepare herself for the UPSC examination during her 3rd year as a student in engineering. She wondered if engineering was an appropriate career path for her. The answer became more clear when she shifted her focus to the civil work. Her parents encouraged her to pursue civil rights and get a job serving the public. She used to study her engineering classes and study for UPSC in addition to studying different subjects. Every day, she set aside time to work on her preparation for the test. In less than one month and a half the time, she was preparing for her engineering exam and also stayed away from social media. She believes that focus and concentration are essential for a successful government examination to become an official. She was very committed to passing the test and made a great deal of effort. To keep up to date with recent events she would regularly go through papers. She also got a lot of help online collecting different study materials and taking in Rajya Sabha TV.
