Srushti began preparing for the UPSC exam in her third-year of engineering studies. As she was finishing her last year of engineering, Deshmukh questioned if she would enjoy working in engineering. She realized later that her ideal job would be in civil service and began to concentrate on this. She was encouraged by her parents to go after careers in civil services and get ready for the exams. She aimed her efforts at becoming an IAS officer. The job required to be an IAS officer can be much more. Her plan was to complete the engineering subjects and then prepare for UPSC in addition to studying other topics. Every day, she set aside the time to study for exams. In less than a month and half, she prepared for her engineering exam as well as completely avoiding social media. The reason she believes in focus and concentration are the key for success in the government examination to become an official. Her efforts were arduous to attain her goal of passing the exam at first attempt. To stay informed about the latest news her routine was to browse through the papers. In addition, she had plenty of help online, by accumulating studies materials and watching Rajya Sabha TV. The book written by IAS Srushti Deskmukh IAS Srushti Deskmukh has also created a book.
