Cheryl Hines

Cheryl Ruth Hines is a Florida native who was born September 21, 1965, in Miami Beach to Rosemary (Graham) and James Hines. Her parents were James Hines and Rosemary (Graham). The family lived in Tallahassee. She attended West Virginia University as well as Florida State University before graduating from University of Central Florida. After she relocated from Los Angeles to the Groundlings Theater and studied comedy there when she realized that she had learned about comedy. Her first instructor was Lisa Kudrow. Her first lesson was to come up with ideas and write comic sketches. This experience helped her prepare for the part of Larry David's wife on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000).
